Communication & transparency: A Mighty Duo.

They mean the world to me, and if they do to you, too, you've come to the right place. Read on to learn more about why I have made this a staple feature of the Eyeland Experience and what you can expect regarding both during your time with me.

Communication is important in any relationship, and at a minimum, both parties should be on the same page with how much communication each requires to feel comfortable, heard, and understood. Both parties should do their best to maintain transparency to help avoid the appearance of what might otherwise be misconstrued to be harmful, disingenuous, or self-serving. This is basic people skills 101; this isn't really a newsflash. I bring this same basic human relationship skillset into my practice, and it means a great deal to me that you know this and understand that I am willing to do whatever I can to help make you feel heard and comfortable during your time with me.

You have put a great deal of faith in me to help you through what is often one of the lowest times in my clients' lives. I am a stranger, and many of my clients are in a very delicate state. For you to instill that level of trust in our relationship means I will be doing my absolute best to handle it with kid gloves. There are lots of features that make the Eyeland Experience, and our Client Portal is one of those. The Client Portal is a customized, personalized, easy-to-remember, password-protected URL that gives you 24/7 access to your client file with all the notes, attachments, and billing information pertaining to your account.

As a client, you also get priority communication. This includes access to the Urgent Client Communication portal that’s designed to get our attention even after business hours in a laughably obnoxious way across all our connected devices. Should you have anything that you need to relay to us that you deem to be urgent, you can click the “Urgent Client Communication” link in the main menu of this site. This rushes you to the front of the communication line and, unless we’re sleeping or out of coverage area, you should get a very prompt reply.

For any less urgent communications such as questions, feedback, or ideas about your treatment, please don't hesitate to ask or share it. You can reach us through email, text messages, or messengers such as WhatsApp; Facebook Messenger; or my personal favorite, Telegram. Please keep in mind that I am mostly a one-woman show and have to balance my time accordingly, so the messengers and their voice clip feature make them the quickest way to receive a reply from me. My goal is that you feel comfortable sharing any and everything to do with your progress. I am not a doctor, no, but I treat your privacy with that same level of confidentiality. Everything you say to me will remain 100% confidential. I'm a law school graduate, and my husband and father are both attorneys. Safeguarding confidentiality is of the utmost importance in this family; it's basically wired into my DNA. While it's true, unfortunately, that the law does not offer the same level of confidentiality between us as it would attorneys and their clients, shy of a subpoena/warrant, you can consider everything you say to me under lock and key.

 

The tools being utilized on my website (for instance, the integration of Facebook Messenger in the lower right-hand corner of every page) and the way that I gather and distribute information are constantly evolving to make things as easy on you as possible. In the world we live in, the advancement and evolution of technology is all but a guarantee, so if something is released that I can integrate to make your life easier, should it make financial sense, I will do my best to make it happen as quickly as possible. In fact, I welcome any feedback that you have for me with open arms (not just regarding technology or communication). Your experience matters to me, you matter to me, and making your recovery as easy and carefree as possible matters to me.
